Naturgas Energía informs Spanish National Energy Commission about its projects during the Commission’s visit to Bilbao
Bilbao. 17 March, 2010.- At its corporate headquarters in Bilbao Naturgas Energía has today received a visit from members of the Board of Directors of the National Energy Commission (CNE), led by its chairperson María Teresa Costa.
Manuel Menéndez, Joao Manso and Fernando Bergasa, Chairman, Vice-chairman and CEO of Naturgas Energía, respectively, hosted the meeting and presented the company’s current and future projects to the board members of the regulating body of Spain’s energy systems.

Naturgas Energía
Naturgas Energía supplies gas and electricity to companies and private customers, and is present with its own infrastructure in nine Autonomous Communities or regions: Basque Country, Asturias, Cantabria, Catalonia, Castile & León, Extremadura, Madrid, Murcia and Navarre. The Group, the second gas distributor on the Spanish market, is a gas carrier, too. Furthermore, it markets gas and electricity and is the third marketer in terms of number of customers.
Naturgas Energía is the leader in gas in the Basque Country, Asturias, Cantabria and Murcia, and the second electricity operator in the Basque Country. With a turnover of 1,031 million euros in 2009 and a net profit of 120 million, it has a gas pipeline network covering over 9,000 km, is the second primary carrier, and is part of Hc Energía, in the EDP Group.
